F.A.Q ‘s
How long does plaster take to dry ?
Fresh plaster will take anywhere from 2 - 7 days to dry depending on thickness, ventilation, room temperature and dampness.
Can you plaster over Artex ceilings ?
Yes in many cases Artex and textured finishes can be skimmed over to give a smooth finish.
Do I need to remove wallpaper or do any preparation before my plastering appointment ?
Walls should be clear and dust free prior to plastering, we can also remove fixtures , wallpaper and debris for you but this is a separate service and charged at an extra fee.
Will plastering create a lot of mess ?
We take care to protect flooring, furniture and surrounding areas as best we can, and we pride ourselves on leaving the area clean and tidy once we are finished. We can discuss ant items that should be removed or covered on our initial quote/booking visit.
Can I get an online quote ?
We do offer online quotes and quote by photograph for smaller repair jobs but these are not guaranteed, large projects will not be booked in until we have visited in person to guage the size and difficulty of the job in question.
Do you offer plaster repair services for cracked or water damaged surfaces ?
Yes we can repair most surfaces once the cause of the issue has been resolved. If water damage has come from a pipe etc we may be able to help resolve the issue but would need to visit to quote in these circumstances.
